Margaret Mead and women to admire

Posted in Anthropology, role-models, women at 6:14 am by Sakiina سكينة

The blog My Several Worlds published a post on Women that Little Girls Should Admire.  I have been compiling such a list myself, though not published on this blog.  I was very enthused to see another blogger write about such a thing! And quite happy to find another woman to admire.

Margaret Mead taught the value of looking openly and carefully at other cultures to understand the complexities of being human.  I think she is a true inspiration and role-model for women of all ages.

“This is why I am using Margaret Mead as my opener for a new section of posts titled, “Women Little Girls Should Admire,”  in My Several Worlds.  I hope there is no need for an explanation.”

Go read the whole thing.

Wow. It’s so nice to meet someone else who has similar thoughts. I hope to see some of your own thoughts in the future and will keep an eye on your blog.

My cousins are all young teenagers and they’re just getting to that age where fashion magazines and teen magazines are all the rage. They read my blog and I hope that they will realise that there are so many amazing, talented, inspirational women out there.

    Many thanks your comments.
